BYSHC #55 ~ Chilly Treats

Hi crafty friends! I’m sharing another card for Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Sketch Challenge #55. It’s a sweet card featuring our sponsor for the month, Pink & Main. The winner of the sketch challenge will win a $25 gift card to their store, so hope you join us.

For this card, I started by assembling all the pieces I would need. I got a brown cardstock and cut them to 2 pieces measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″. I cut a pattern paper from Echo Park Winter Magic paper pad to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and glued it on to the larger brown cardstock. I cut a white cardstock to 2″ x 3-1/2″ and stamped my ice cream cone from Pink & Main Chilly Treats stamp set.

I copic colored my image and stamped the sentiment from Spellbinders Mini Christmas Greetings. I ink blended around the image with Gina K Desigsn Blue Sky ink. I glued the white cardstock on the smaller brown cardstock and on to the pattern paper. I glued it on to an A2 card and added a snowflake sticker on the left corner.

Here’s a look at the sketch.

I hope you play along with us at BYSHC’s Facebook Group. Make sure to add your card to Sketch 55’s album for a chance to win a $25 gift card to Pink & Main. Check out all the other beautiful inspirations from the design team on BYSHC’s Blog. Thank you for dropping by!

BYSHC #55 ~ Sweet Treats

Welcome back crafty friends! I’m sharing my first card for Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Sketch Challenge #55. It’s an adorable card using Pink and Main’s Chilly Treats with Not 2 Shabby’s Plaids for Christmas paper pad.

I started by cutting all the pieces I needed for my card. I got a gold foil cardstock and cut them to 2 pieces measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ and 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″. I cut the plaid pattern paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″ and glued it on to the larger gold cardstock. I cut a white cardstock to 2″ x 3-1/2″.

I stamped and copic colored my image on to the white cardstock. I stamped a sentiment from Stamplorations Greetings of the Season stamp set in Gina K Designs Fresh Asparagus Ink. I glued it on to the smaller gold cardstock and then on to my plaid paper.

I felt like my left corner was a little “empty” so I decorated the corner with some scraps. Lastly, I glued everything on to an A2 card.

Here’s the sketch.
