Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 8

I can’t believe it’s the last day of Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop. The linky will close at June 30 at 11:59 PDT. I hope everyone had fun joining us making Christmas/holiday/winter cards this round and good luck to everyone! For the last day, I have 2 cards to share.

For my first card, I inked up Funky Fossil Designs Leaping Stags Stencil with GKD Warm Cocoa ink and added some Recollections Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss it. I used Pink and Main Rectangles Die Set to die cut out 7 frames. I used Stazon Jet Black to ink up Unity Stamp Co’s It’s Christmas Oh Deer stamp on top of the acetate. I glued the acetate behind one frame and then glued the rest of the frames behind the acetate. I decided to give dimensions to the frame with extra frames instead of foam tape because the foam tape wasn’t thick enough for the sequins.

I got patterned paper from Recollections Ice Crystals Paper for the background and added some 28 Lilac Lane Deer Sequins. I glued the frames on top of the background paper and attached the whole piece onto my stenciled deer paper.

For my second card, I was inspired by MFT Sketch Challenge. I used Simon Says Stamps Nutty & Bright Stamp Set for the image and sentiment. I kept the white cardstock from my frames from the first card and used it for this card. For the image, I used Copic Markers and Tombow APT Pro Alcohol Markers. I heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Pure White Embossing Powder.

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 7

Happy Thursday! There’s still time to join the BYSHC Christmas in July party! You have until July 30 11:59 PDT to link up a Christmas/holiday/winter card for a chance to win some awesome prizes from some awesome sponsors. Check the BYSHC blog for details.

Now on to the card. I started with stamping, watercoloring, and fussy cutting these images from Mama Elephant’s Mammoth Love Stamp Set. Then I ink blended from Distress Black Soot, GKD In the Navy, GKD Tranquil Tea, and lastly GKD Sea Glass from top to bottom. I cut some hills from Honey Bee Hill Borders die cut and attached them on the bottom of the cardstock. I added some stars and snow with Artistic Isle Silver Nova to give it some shine and heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Pure White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I attached everything together.

I tried to show the shine, but it was really hard to take a picture to show it, but it is lovely in person.

I hope this has inspired you to create something and join our party! Thank you for stopping by!

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 6

Happy hump day! The BYSHC Christmas in July 2021 Hop is almost coming to an end. Today, I’m sharing a card I made with Alex Syberia’s Christmas Bouquet Digital Stamp. I started with watercoloring the purple poinsettia, but the colors didn’t end up the way I wanted it to so I made another card.

For the red poinsettia card, I decided to add some Inkon3 Liquid pixi dust onto the candy cane and berries to give the card some shine. Don’t add liquid pixi dust to completed watercolor projects. It will make the colors run.

For this card I used MFT Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die to die cut out the image and attached it to a red cardstock mat. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs Folk Art Snowflake Stamp Set.

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 5

For Day 5, I’m featuring the lovely sponsor Angie Blom Let’s Be Merry Stamp. The Gnome Santa is just absolutely adorable. He actually reminds me of Dumbledore so I decided to color him a Grayish blue.

I wanted to make an shaker card so I die cut out a frame and attached acetate behind the frame. I used Recollections Crystal Blues Paper Pad for my background and added some snowflake and star sequins. Then I put some foam tape around the edges of the acetate and sealed my shaker card. Normally, you would stamp the sentiment on before adding the foam tape, but I forgot so I stamped it when everything was done. I glued the Santa on and stamped the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by! Can’t wait to see all your lovely creations!

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 4

It’s half way through the BYSHC Christmas in July Hop! You still have time to join us by linking your Christmas/holiday/winter cards to the blog.

For this card, I used two of our Sponsors Unity Stamp Stay Cozy Stamp and Gina Marie Designs Loopy Square Die. I cut out some triangles from Recollections Say Freeze Paper pad and attached it to square black cardstock. I stamped the snowmen onto a square white cardstock and colored them with colored pencils. I stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Merry Christmas Sentiments. I used Gina Marie Designs Die to die cut out a black mat for the white cardstock and attached everything together.

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of BYSHC Christmas in July 2021 Hop! Today I’m sharing a card using our Sponsor Gina Marie Designs Grinch Theme Stamp Set.

I started with cutting out a piece of patterned cardstock from Recollections Glisten and Glow Paper Pad. Next, I stamped Grinch’s face onto green cardstock and free cut it out. I stamped the Santa hat onto white cardstock and watercolored the image. I stamped the sentiment with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and used Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder to heat emboss it. Lastly, I used Pink and Main Rectangle A2 Dies to die cut out a red mat and attached everything together.

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 2

Hellooo! I’m back on the second day of BYSHC Christmas in July 2021 Hop with a card featuring one of the awesome sponsors, Gina K Designs. For this card, I used Gina K Designs Holiday Hexagons. I arranged the hexagon snowflakes on my Misti and inked it with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink. I embossed the silver images first, and then moved on to the gold images. Lastly, I attached the cardstock onto gold foil cardstock.

A close up of one of my cards.

Misti + heat embossing equals a super fast and easy way to make multiple cards for Christmas.

I hope you will join us this week for a chance to win some incredible prizes.
