I loved the clean and simple card with the deer as the focal point.
This is my version.
Since Christmas is over, I decided to move away from Christmas cards to make this greeting card. I used Hero Arts Make a Wish Stamp Set to make this patterned paper with Hero Arts Cotton Candy Ink and Gina K Amalgam Ink. I colored the mouse with Alcohol markers from Tombow ABT Pro and Daiso Fluently. Lastly, I assembled the card together and attached some Rhinestones from Fun Stampers Journey onto the card.
I got inspired to make two different cards with this sketch challenge. I got to use my Cricut to make both of my card. 😆
Both cards are created to celebrate friendship! Missing my awesome friends!
For my first card, I wanted to play with this ADORABLE Panda Perfection from Clearly Besotted that I had for a while, but never used. This was a very simple, fast, fun card that didn’t require any coloring. I stamped the panda with GKD Amalgam Ink and the bamboo with Hero Arts Green Apple Ink. I fussy cut all the stamped images, and used the Cricut to cut out my grass and hill. I thought it would be fun to cut the grass and hills with patterned paper to add a little something to the card.
I decided to go to the ocean with my second card. I used Cricut to cut my wave frame, and then ink blended the waves with GKD Sea Glass and Turquoise Sea. I colored the killer whale with Artist’s Loft Grey Watercolor Dual Tip Marker and the dolphin with Tombow DualBrush Pen 553.
When times are tough, drink some hot chocolate! I’m always looking for some yummy hot chocolate. Recently, I like using Valrhona’s Dark Chocolate to make hot chocolate instead of using cocoa powder. 🤤
First, I used my Cricut to cut out a white oval and a scalloped green oval. I stamped the girl and colored her with colored pencils. The sentiment was typed and printed with the font Candy Clause. Lastly, I assembled the card together.
I hope everyone had a wonderful fun-filled, relaxing holiday with loved ones! Thank you for stopping by! Stay Safe!

I’ve been trying to use up my old Recollections Christmas 6″ by 6″ paper pads to make space for my new ones this year. It was hard to combine this sheet with anything else because it was so beautiful but very shiny. The shininess isn’t showing through the picture that well, but it’s there.
I decided to combine this with an adorable bear from Recollections, and the sentiment “Snow” is from Gina K Designs Folk Art Snowflakes Stamp Set.
A masculine card with Newton’s Nook Designs Meerkat stamp and their Sketch Challenge #318. I decided to leave it sentiment free until I know what occasion I’ll be using this card for.
Because it’s December, there’s a lot of winter related challenges going on. Casology’s new challenge involves a snowman and Inkspirational is snow; therefore, I used Happy Winters Together Snowman from Unity Stamp Co. They are having a sale right now on any 2020 stamps, so check them out.
First, I used my Cricut with the black glitter pen to make the frame. I masked the sides of the frame, and then stamped the snowmen inside with GKD Amalgam Ink. I feel like I used color pencil to color them in, and lastly heat embossed the sentiment Joy.

Both cards made were both inspired by the Color Hues #7 – Blue and Magenta Challenge and the Flower Challenge #51– Add Embellishments. I had so much fun making both cards because I got to use some new stamps that I got recently.
For my first card, I ink blended GKD Blue Denim on the top and magenta color from Craftsmart on the bottom. Next, I embossed MFT Floating Petals Background with Gold Embossing Powder. I die cut out the Birthday, and embossed the Happy onto the vellum. I taped the vellum on the back of the paper so it wouldn’t show through the vellum. Lastly, I attached a black cardstock to the back to give it a black border.
I’m not sure if Gold is considered as a third color or if it’s considered as a neutral for the Color Hue challenge. So, I decided to make a second card with Graciellie Design Start Anew Magnolias Digital Stamp.
I originally wanted to use watercolor on this, but for some reason the ink started to mix into my colors. I’m pretty new to digital stamps, so I’m assuming I have the wrong type of ink. I switched to colored pencils instead, and the sentiment is from Unity Stamp Co Words of Hope by Gracielle Design. I bordered the card and sentiment with blue cardstock and added some blue sequins from GKD.
I love the sentiment. You don’t have to give a gift to brighten someone’s day, a kind gesture would do.
I had so much fun with the tic-tac-toe snow card, I decided to do another one with Wheat. The tic-tac-toe challenge is from Gina K Designs’ Monthly Challenge, and I decided to combine it with CASology’s Wheat Challenge.
This time for the tic-tac-toe, I went with Emboss Resist, Square, and Vellum. I used Gina K Designs Handmade Botanicals and Ranger Ink Gold Embossing Powder to heat emboss the gold wheat onto a square vellum. Then I used Clearly Besotted Simply Said Stamp Set for the sentiment.
If I understand Emboss Resist, you emboss first and then add ink after, which is what I did. The ink I used from top to bottom was Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango, and Dark Chocolate. I added some Jute rope to “tie” my wheat bundle together. I had to add a yellow border to add my adhesive on my vellum. Is there any adhesive that won’t show on vellum?
I didn’t like my first card, due to the vellum warping from heat embossing, and I couldn’t lay it flat down completely. I actually liked the card I came up with, so I decided to make a second version, hoping it wouldn’t warp as much.
Second time around, my vellum didn’t warp as much. 🥳For the ink, I changed it up a bit and instead of GKD Dark Chocolate, I used Red Velvet instead. The sentiment used was from GKD Wealth of Wishes.
A close up of my second card.

This non-traditional colored Christmas card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches 464 and CAS Colours Blushing Bride, Metallic Silver, and Mint Macaron.
I embossed a pink cardstock with a heart embossing folder. Next, I used GKD Soft Stone Ink to stamp holly all over a white cardstock and colored it in with Tombow DualBrush Pens 243 and 761. I stamped the Gnome from Unity Stamp Co and colored them with the same colors. I used WOW Embossing Pen to color in the beard and heat embossed with WOW Metallic Silver Embossing Powder. I added some grey watercolor on the nose, hands, and shoe to give it some color. Lastly, I used Clearly Besotted Simply Said for the sentiment.
