BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~ Smelling like Christmas

Sadly, it’s the last day of BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Linky Party. I hope everyone had a chance to check out BYSHC Blog for some Christmas inspirations and was able to join us.

For the last day, I decided to save the best for last which is a fun shaker card! I love shaker cards, and I used TWO of our wonderful sponsors to complete it. I started by creating the frame with our NEW sponsor Kat Scrappiness A2 Reverse Scallop Die Frame. I stamped, copic colored, and fussy cut out the mice from Gerda Steiner Designs Smell like Christmas Stamp Set and added some ADORABLE gingerbread embellishment from our lovely sponsor Twiddler’s Nook. She has to cutest embellishments ever so go check her out on Etsy.

To make my shaker card sandwich, I started by gluing a white frame over some acetate and then glued 2 more frames underneath that. Next I added foam tape all around the bottom frame. I flipped the sandwich around so the acetate was on the bottom and foam tape were sticking on top. I went a little overboard with my glitter, but I added that and more gingerbread into my shaker card. For my background, I used patterned paper with a bunch of stamped cookies from the same GSD stamp set and attached it to the foam tape to seal off my card.

Besides Falling for the Holidays Linky Party, we still have our monthly Sketch Challenge going on. I’m also sharing my third card for our monthly Sketch Challenge. Check out the other two on my Instagram, but these cards are super easy to make if you have these patterned paper with rectangular images. Just cut them out and glue them together and voila, you have a card.

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I’ve been sharing this week, and thank you for continuously stopping by. Remember you have until 11:59 PST to link up your card, and GOOD LUCK!

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~ Warmest Wishes

It is Day 6 of BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Linky Party! For those who don’t know what it is, it’s a week long event where you can link up a newly created Christmas/holiday/winter card on BYSHC Blog for a chance to win some incredible prizes from some wonderful sponsors. For today’s card, I’m sharing an adorable card made with 2 of our wonderful sponsors, Pink & Main and Lawn Fawn. I stamped, Copic colored, and fussy cut out Pink & Main Mugs and Kisses Stamp Set. I die cut out my background panel from Lawn Fawn’s Quilted Backdrop and glued it over a red cardstock. I cut out a piece of candy cane patterned paper from Echo Park A Perfect Christmas paper pad and attached it to a red cardstock mat. I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Mugs and Kisses Stamp set and glued everything in place.

Thank you for popping by and I hope you had a chance to play with us. If not, you still have time to join and build up your holiday stash for Christmas. We also have a sketch challenge going on this month if you need some inspiration to start off a card. Check BYSHC Facebook for our sketch challenge.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~Noel

It’s Day 5 of BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Linky Party, which is a week long event where everyone can link up a new Christmas/winter card on BYSHC Blog for a chance to win a prize from some incredible sponsors. I’ve been showcasing one to two sponsors a day, so check the other days if you haven’t seen them yet.

Today, I’m presenting a card created with 3 of our wonderful sponsors, Angie Blom, Newton’s Nook Designs, and Gina K Designs. I started by ink blending a white cardstock with Gina K Designs Tranquil Teal, Jelly Bean Green, and Wild Wisteria Ink. Then I laid Newton’s Nook Designs Ornaments Stencil over the ink blended cardstock and inked them with the same colors so the ornaments are darker version of the ink. (The Ornaments Stencil is actually on sale at Newton’s Nook Designs if you want to check them out.)

I colored Angie Bloms’ new Noel digital image with Copic and Tombow alcohol markers and fussy cut it out. I added foam tape behind it to give it some dimension and glued everything on a black cardstock mat. (Angie Blom actually has 2 new images so check out her site if you prefer the word JOY instead.)

Thank you for dropping by. I hope this has inspired you to make a simple, colorful card before Oct. 28th. If you don’t have time to join us, still check out BYSHC Blog for all the other beautiful cards everyone has made. Stop by tomorrow for a cute hot cocoa card.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~Gnome for the Holidays

Happy Monday! It’s half way through BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Linky Party! It’s a week long event where you can add Christmas/winter/holiday card onto the BYSHC Blog for a chance to win some wonderful prizes from our generous sponsors.

Today I’m showcasing our awesome Sponsors Therm-o-Web and Gina K Designs by using their collaborated Gnome for the Holidays Craft Kit. I bought this kit for awhile, but never used it until now. I actually made 2 cards because I felt like the first one was missing some details so I made a second one and changed what I didn’t like. Can you spot the difference?

I started by die cutting out the tree and gnome pieces with cardstock scraps I had. I used Gina K Designs Master Layout 7 to die cut out the mini slimline white cardstock and lavender mat cardstock. Then, I used Honey Bee Hill Borders to die cut out the Hill and used Gina K Designs White Glitz Glitter Gel to add some glitter to the edge of the hill border to give it some dimension. Lastly, I added some Sparkling Silver Fancy Foils with Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo on to the tree and gnome hat. The Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo allows you to add foil with pressure only, so you don’t need a laminator.

Once I glued everything together, I felt like the background was a little empty, so for my second card I used Simon Says Faceted Snowflakes embossing folder to give it some more dimension. I lightly ink blended some Gina K Designs Sea Glass over the snowflakes, but it’s hard to see in the pictures.

I appreciate you stopping by and leaving a comment. I hope you come check us out at BYSHC Blog, and if you get a chance, link up a wintry card.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~Merry Chrismoose

I’m sharing a card using our sponsors Unity Stamp and Gina Marie Designs. I stamped, colored, and fussy cut Unity Stamp Merry Chrismoose Cuddlebug Stamp. I stamped and die cut out the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Ornamental Christmas set. I die cut out a circle with vellum to put behind the moose to cut down a bit of the busyness of the plaid cardstock and lastly I added some embellishments from Gina Marie Designs.

Thank you for visiting! I hope this card has inspired you to start on your Christmas cards! A couple of months left before Christmas is here. Don’t forget to link up your Christmas cards on BYSHC Blog.

Now on to my second card using one of our wonderful sponsor Lawn Fawn. I used Lawn Fawn’s Christmas Fishes for this underwater Christmas scene. I started off by ink blending my ocean with our sponsor Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, and Tranquil Teal ink. I used Waffle Flower Sunburst Stencil and Gina K Designs White Pigment Ink for the light. My hill was die cut with Honey Bee Hill Borders and I fussy cut out all the pieces and glued them on.

Thank you for coming. I hope you enjoyed my Christmas fishes. You have until Oct 28th to join us. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details of the Linky Party and the other cards created. Return tomorrow for a traditional themed card.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~ Day 1

BYSHC last Linky Party for the year is here and the design team has so many beautiful inspirations to share with you!! There’s only a couple more months before Christmas, so join us and build up your Christmas stash. Join us by linking up a Christmas/winter card for a chance to win some awesome prizes from some wonderful sponsors. You have until Oct. 28th 11:59 PST to add a card and there’s no limit to how many cards you can link up.

Today, I’m sharing a card created with our generous sponsor, Gina K Designs’, products. I used Gina K Designs Master Layout 1 to die cut out a large silver foil cardstock, a white rectangle cardstock, a pink oval mat, and a white oval piece. I embossed the white rectangle cardstock with Gina K Designs Lattice embossing folder and glued it on to the silver foil cardstock.

I made some poinsettias from Gina K Designs Perfect Poinsettia using GKD Innocent Pink, Bubblegum Pink, and Passionate Pink Inks. I heat embossed the outlines with WOW Metallic Silver Embossing Powder and die cut them out. I die cut out some extra white poinsettia to give one of the poinsettia some extra dimensions but gluing them together. Lastly, I finished my Poinsettias off with some silver gems I had.

For my sentiment, I used Gina K Designs Enjoyable Greetings. The word stamp is actually ENJOY, but I masked off the EN and used only the JOY. I stamped the Joy on the white oval and glued it on to the pink oval mat. I glued everything together and put it over a pink cardstock mat.

Thank you for dropping by. Check out BYSHC’s Blog for the full details and inspirations. I hope you join in on the fun, and even if you can’t, just come by and look at the beautiful cards created. Come back tomorrow for a beautiful underwater Christmas card.

BOO!

I’m playing with MFT Sketch Challenge using Not 2 Shabby’s Ghostly Greetings. I ink blended the middle section of the white cardstock with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac, Tangerine Twist, and Wild Dandelion Ink. Then I used Gina K Designs Master Layout 1 to die cut out the white cardstock, and a black mat. I used Simon Says Stamp Cute Ghosts Embossing Folder to emboss the white cardstock and glued on the ghost with Twiddler’s Nook Bat embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by. What do people do with Halloween cards?
