BYSHC Sketch #11 – Pawsome Christmas

Happy Saturday! I’m sharing my last card for BYSHC Sketch Challenge #11. I colored Bugaboo Stamps Winter Cat and Puppy Dog digial stamp with Copic and Watercolor Markers.

I used Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities to die cut out the image and attached it to a circle mat that was die cut with Gina Marie Design’s Eyelet Elegance Circle Die. I stamped the sentiment from Recollections Christmas Set with GKD White Pigment Ink onto a red cardstock. I attached everything together onto paper from Recollections Christmas Pets Paper Pad.

There’s still a couple more days to join in on the fun at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. Check the group for more inspirations.

Thank you for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Distressing Flowers

Hello! I’m sharing two cards I made with the same technique. For my first card, I used Unity Stamp’s Prefer to Smile Stamp Set. I stamped it with GKD Amalgam Ink and then I added some Distress Ink Fired Brick and Mowed Lawn into the image. I misted some water onto the image to create that spread. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment and die cut the cardstock.

For my second card, I used Clearly Besotted’s Merci Beaucoup and Brushed Sentiments. I used Distress ink Salty Ocean for the blue. Since I don’t have a yellow Distress ink, I just ended up using a yellow watercolor marker.

Thank you for stopping by.

Butterflies!

Today, I’m playing with Color Hues Color Challenge and A Blog Named Hero’s June Challenge. The two colors for Color Hues are Aqua and Black and A Blog Named Hero’s Challenge is Monochrome.

I started ink blending with Gina K Designs Tranquil Teal , Turquoise Sea, and Sea Glass from top to bottom. I used Hero Arts’ Butterfly Confetti Fancy Die to die cut out my background. I thought the butterflies on matte, black cardstock was boring, so I added some shimmer with Ink on 3 Liquid Pixie Dust.

After my background was done, I stamped the butterfly from Unity Stamp Another Name for Love stamp set with GKD Amalgam Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I used some White Gelly Roll to give the butterfly some dimensions and fussy cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Playful Pair Stamp set with Hero Arts’ Underwater Embossing Powder.

I loved how this turned out, but I need some more inks to blend with.

Hope you are having an awesome week! Thank you for stopping by!

BYSHC Sketch #11 – Rustic

Hello! Today I’m sharing my second card for BYSHC Sketch Challenge #11. For this card, I went with a rustic look by using Recollections Say Freeze Paper Pad. There was no stamping involved!!

I used Gina Marie Design’s Eyelet Elegance Circle Die to cut out the truck and fussy cut out the sentiment. I used Pink and Main Stitched Rectangles Die to cut out a Kraft rectangle for my card base and cut up a 4.1″ by 5.3″ green plaid paper. I tied a piece of jute around the green plaid paper and assembled everything together.

A Friend Like You

I made this card inspired by My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge #545.

I used MFT Cat-astrophe Stamp Set for the images and sentiment. I used watercolor to color the image and fussy cut them out. I used Waffle Flower Sunburst Stencil with GKD Wild Dandelion Ink for my larger circle. The flags were made with Concord & 9th Triple-Step Blooming Heart Die Set, and I thought it would be fun to add some paw prints on the white flag. Recently, I’ve been loving a thin, colored borderline, so I added yellow cardstock.

Stay Salty

Happy Sunday! I’m back joining My Favorite Things Color Challenge and CAS Colours and Sketches. These colors remind me of the beach so I went back to Hero Arts May’s Monthly Kit.

I started ink blending the card with GKD’s Turquoise Sea, Sea Glass, and Sandy Beach ink from top to bottom. I inked out the images with GKD Amalgam Ink and colored them with watercolor markers. I die cut them out and attached them to the card.

I stamped the sentiment from the same kit on the bottom right. I die cut out a turquoise rectangle with Pink and Main Stitched Rectangles Die Set to be the card base.

BYSHC #11

Hello! I’m super EXCITED to announce that I am now on Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers’ design team! My first time on a design team and I can’t wait to see what this has in store for me.

Are you YETI for the new sketch challenge for BYSHC!

I paired the Recollections Red & White Christmas Paper with this adorable Yeti from Oddball Art Co. The sentiment is from Gina Marie Designs Grinch Theme Stamp Set. I just got this set in the mail, and I had to use it, even if it’s just a sentiment. 😉

Come join us at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.
