Sea you Soon

Happy Saturday! This is my last post as Just Us Girls’ Guest Designer for the month of May. This month’s final challenge is a Wild Card Week with Spots and/or Dots.

For this week, I’m playing with Hero Art’s May Monthly Kit. I’m loving this ocean themed set. I used Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Tranquil Teal, and Blue Denim ink to ink blend on a grey cardstock. Then, I used Gina K Designs White Pigment Ink on Funky Fossil Designs Dotty Circle Stencil Background. I also added some water droplets to give it a more watery vibe.

I heat embossed the jellyfish from the May Monthly Kit onto vellum with Recollections Pearl Embossing Powder to give it some shine. I decided to use vellum to give it that see through appearance and added some color by inblending GKD Peach Bellini and Coral Reef to the back of the vellum. I heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.

I would like to thank all the ladies at Just Us Girls for having me this month. It’s been an honor. Check out their wonderful designs for this week and I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Monochromatic colors

Happy Tuesday! I wanted to make a cheerful, bright, monochromatic card and ended up with this. I’m really loving this Daisy background from Unity, so I had to use it again. I started by inking Unity Stamp’s Daisy Days with Gina K Designs Wild Dandelion ink and die cutting it for my background. Next, I stamped Unity Stamp’s Margaret Girl on white cardstock and on my background. I used water color to color in the girl on the white cardstock and fussy cut her out. I used foam stickers to attach her to my background and added a sentiment from Clearly Besotted’s Brushed Sentiments.

Daisy Days

Happy Saturday! I’m back with another guest designer card with Just Us Girls and this week is Photo Week. I was inspired by the daisies, and I wanted to use a new stamp that I got from Unity Stamp birthday sale.

I started inking the Unity Stamp Daisy Days’ background stamp with Gina K Designs Amalgam Ink and colored the stigma yellow. I attached a vellum across the image, and attached it to a black cardstock. Next, I added some gold accents to the Happy Birthday sentiment and glued it over the vellum. That’s it for this simple card.

Another angle of the card so you can see the gold a bit more.

I wanted to play with this background some more, so I also made a thank you card.

I inked the background with Inkon3 Fade Out Ink and die cut it out. Next, I inked Picket Fence Studio’s Forgot to Say Thank You Stamp set with Gina K Design’s Prickly Pear Ink and fussy cut it. I ink blended a strip of white cardstock with Prickly Pear Ink and stamped the sentiment with the same ink color. I’m loving this sentiment from Picket Fence Studio’s stamp set.

Hoppy Birthday

Hoppy Birthday to AAA Cards and AAA Birthday! I used Less is More #443 Sketch Challenge for this clean and simple card.

I used Gina K Designs Lucky Clover and Sea Glass to ink the Inkon 3 Pondie Stencil. Then I use watercolor to color the frog from Hero Arts Hoppy Day Stamp Set and fussy cut it out. I attached the frog and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set. That’s all for this card.

JUGS #584 – Color Week

It’s time for another guest designer post with Just Us Girls, and this week is Color Week. The three colors are yellow, blue, and lavender.

I’m not sure why, but I was having a lot of trouble with this color group. In the end, I think I’ve made it work with Concord & 9th’s Blooms Fill-In Stamp Set and Unity Stamp Say it Big Die Set. What do you think?

Join us at JUGS and challenge yourself with these color. I can’t wait to see what you come up with. Thank you for stopping by!

You Matter To Me

Hello! I’m back for the second week as Just Us Girls’ Guest Designer. The challenge this week for Trend week is Layers.

This card was made to celebrate Mother’s Day since it’s this weekend. Hopefully, you are ready to show them some paper love.

This gave me an opportunity to use my new layering stamp set Majestic Bloom from Altenew. Layering stamps allow you to create colorful images without coloring. Theoretically, it should be faster, but trying to match the layers perfectly is also very time consuming.

Once I was done layering my flower and leaves, I fussy cut them out. Next I used Pink and Main’s Stitched Rectangles to die cut out a teal and a white cardstock. I stamped the sentiment from Concord & 9th’s Blooms Fill-In Stamp Set onto the white cardstock and assembled my card.

Thank you for stopping by. Be sure to stop by JUGS blog to check out what the Design team has created. Join us in some layering and you might be the next Guest Designer.

Have a great weekend!
