BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 6

Welcome back to Day 6 of BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party. Play with us by linking up a Christmas/winter/holiday card on BYSHC Blog. Our party will last until April 29th.

For this card, I used our lovely sponsor Gina K Designs Ornament Snowflakes Stamp Set and Star Struck Stamp Set. I started off die cutting out my base and mat layers with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 1. I ink smooshed the background with Gina K Designs Red Velvet, Red Hot, Faded Brick, and Wild Dandelion Ink. I used the Star Struck stamp as garlands and have the snowflakes hang off of them. After heat embossing, I sprayed some gold water droplets with Artistic Isle Gold Paint over the panel to give it more shine.

Thank you for stopping by. Even if you can’t join us, check the BYSHC Blog for some inspirations. Some of our sponsors are also having sales for this event, so check them out.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 1

Hi friends!! Who’s excited for the first day of BYSHC Spring into Christmas 2022 Linky Party? Join us by creating a Christmas, Hanukkah, or winter card and link it up on BYSHC Blog. We have some awesome sponsors with wonderful prizes this Spring. Check the blog for more inspirations and details.

For my first card, I used products from two of our wonderful sponsors. My background was created with Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry, Blue Lagoon, and Passionate Pink ink. I inked my cubes on acetate, sprayed some water on the acetate, and smooshed the ink onto watercolor paper. After it dried, I heat embossed the snowflakes from Unity Stamp Advent Calendar 2021 with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. I die cut out the background and purple mat with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 1 Die Set.

I stamped the Unity Stamp Mug from the Advent Calender 2021, colored the mug with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac ink, and fussy cut it out. I actually added some Inkon 3 Liquid Pixie Dust on the mug, but it wouldn’t show through the photo. It is very glittery in person✨. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Sunny Studio Merry Mice with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac Ink to match the mug color.

The Linky Party will last from April 22nd – 29th. Don’t forget to link up a card for a chance to win a prize. I can’t wait to see what you create! Come back tomorrow for another holiday card!

Night Skies

Happy Monday friends! I’ve been seeing a lot of beautiful cards with ink blended skies and silhouettes, so I was inspired to make one myself. I decided to do a night sky with beautiful colors. I was going for auroras, but ended up with something a little different. I love how it turned out though.

I started with ink blending the colors I wanted and layered the ink on heavy. When I was satisfied with the colors and ink, I spritzed some water onto the water reactive inks. Next, I added some Artistic Isle Titanium White Paint for some stars and snow. Since I don’t have silhouettes, I decided to stamp the trees and color them with GKD’s Black Onyx Dye Ink by stamping the ink onto an acrylic block and using a paint brush to watercolor in the trees. I die cut out the cardstock, heat embossed the sentiment, and added a black mat.

  • Supplies:

    • Ink: Gina K Designs Black Onyx, In the Navy, Blue Raspberry, Lucky Clover, Passionate Pink, Wild Lilac, Plum Punch, Embossing Ink
    • Others: Altenew Pure White Embossing Powder

I hope you like the card! Have a wonderful crafty week and thank you for dropping by.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~ Day 2

I hope everyone enjoyed all the inspirations from Day 1 on the BYSHC Blog. Get ready for Christmas by making Winter, Holiday cards with BYSHC and you get a chance to win a prize.

For Day 2, I used Clearly Besotted’s Ring Around Christmas. I heat embossed the image with gold embossing powder and watercolored the wreath. Next, I watercolored the background black and added some gold spots with Artistic Isle gold paint. Lastly, I heat embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set. I matted the “black” cardstock on gold foil cardstock and then on red cardstock.

What do you guys think of the card? I personally really liked it against the black, but some might say the black makes it not very festive.

Another view of the card to try to show the shine.

Continue to check the BYSHC Blog or Facebook group for more inspirations. You have until Oct. 29th to link up and have a chance to win. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details.

Now, back to the card. Today I’m featuring one of our amazing sponsor, Gina K Designs. I used Playful Penguins from the Joyful Holiday Kit and the free incentive Peace Love and Joy Set. I watercolored the penguins and stamped the snowflake corner lightly with Gina K Design’s Blue Lagoon ink. I heat embossed the sentiment and attached the penguin with foam tape. I matted the white onto a teal mat and then a silver mirror mat. It’s actually very shiny in person. Lastly, I added some rhinestones to give it some more bling.

Sweet Birthday

Happy Friday! For Day 20 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Color Challenge, I decided to color up this adorable giraffe from Unity Stamp Co. I started die cutting a patterned paper and a piece of white cardstock with Pink and Main Stitched Rectangles Set. I stamped the Unity Stamp Cuddlebug Giraffe onto the white cardstock and water color the image. I stamped the sentiment from Mama Elephant’s Birthday Messages Stamp Set above the giraffe and added some embellishments. That’s all!

Thank you for stopping by! Have an ink-credible day!!

Blue Lily

For Day 6 of The Daily Marker Color Challenge, I decided to color Picket Fence Studio’s Lily Bouquet Stamp. It’s a big image, so after I water colored the image, I cut it in half to make 2 mini slimline cards. I saw some blue heart lily pictures, so I decided to try to color my lilies like that.

I stamped the image with GKD Embossing Ink and added Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. I heat embossed the image and water colored the image. After cutting my image in half, I stamped Gina K Designs Sentiments from her July Kit with GKD Amalgam Ink and Blue Raspberry Ink. I attached the cardstock onto a blue mat and attached it to my mini slimline card.

Have an inkcredible weekend!

Coloring Challenge Day 1 ~ Autumn Vibes

Happy Sunday! It’s Day 1 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge! I’ve only done the shortened versions of the Daily Marker coloring challenge, but I’m excited to try this for 30 days!

For my first day, I decided to color Graciellie Design’s Tea-lightful Mega digital stamp. I colored the image with Artist’s Loft Watercolor Markers and fussy cut it out. For the background, I ink smooshed some colors to the background and transferred some Deco Foil Transfer Gel Duo with a spatula over Funky Fossil Degisns’ Knitted Background Stencil. I cut some Gold Deco Foil sheets and pressed them on to the top of the transfer gel.

Thank you for stopping by!

Now on to the card. I started with stamping, watercoloring, and fussy cutting these images from Mama Elephant’s Mammoth Love Stamp Set. Then I ink blended from Distress Black Soot, GKD In the Navy, GKD Tranquil Tea, and lastly GKD Sea Glass from top to bottom. I cut some hills from Honey Bee Hill Borders die cut and attached them on the bottom of the cardstock. I added some stars and snow with Artistic Isle Silver Nova to give it some shine and heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Pure White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I attached everything together.

I tried to show the shine, but it was really hard to take a picture to show it, but it is lovely in person.

I hope this has inspired you to create something and join our party! Thank you for stopping by!
