BYSHC Spring into Christmas 2023 ~DAY 1

Hi crafty friends! BYSHC’s first linky party for the year is HERE! Who’s excited and ready to create and link up newly designed Christmas, Hanukkah, or winter card! Join us by linking up your card on the BYSHC Blog between April 21 – 28. We have some awesome prizes from our amazing 16 sponsors this spring. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details.

Now onto my first card for the party! It’s a cutie and to help me out, I used BYSHC Sketch #32 for this card. Check out BYSHC Facebook if you need some sketches to start you off, but Sketch #32 is our most current sketch challenge. The sketch challenge will last until the end of April. You can also win a prize from our amazing Crystal, the one who started it all!

I wanted to use this beautiful paper from our wonderful sponsor, Lawn Fawn. It’s the Knit Picky Winter Collection in the color Baby Blanket. It’s super adorable with My Favorite Things’ Merry Christmoose stamp set.

I stamped the moose and Christmas tree on to white cardstock. I colored the moose and Christmas tree with copic markers and added some accents with a white gel pen. I stamped another moose on to the patterned paper. Then, I cut out the sweater and hat from the moose on the patterned paper and glued those pieces on my colored moose. I die cut out the moose and Christmas tree.

On a piece of scrap white cardstock, I ink blended a night sky using our lovely sponsor, Gina K Designs. From top to bottom, I used In the Navy, Blue Denim, and Blue Raspberry. I splashed some white paint on top for stars. Then, I used another one of our fantastic sponsor’s dies. I used Pink & Main Layered Circle Dies to die cut out my night sky.

I cut out a black strip of cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment using Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I assembled all the pieces together and glued everything down.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you join us in both the linky party and the sketch challenge. Even if you can’t join, check out the Blog and Facebook to see all the beautiful creations.

For this card, I cut out the patterned paper according to the sketch. Then, I used copic markers to color the puppy, and I fussy cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment from My Favorite Things with Fun Stampers Journey Black Embossing Powder directly on to the paper pad. I glued everything together and added some beautiful embellishments from Spellbinders.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me! I hope you like the card and will join us on Facebook.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 3

It’s day 3 of Spring into Christmas Linky Party! Some of our sponsors are actually having SALES for this event. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details.

Now for this adorable card. The My Favorite Things Paw La La La La Stamp speaks for itself. Too cute, so I made the card super simple. I started off by ink blending with Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, and Blue Denim from the center outwards. Then, I heat embossed the stamp with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Ranger Gold embossing powder. Lastly, I added some gold watercolor paint drops from Artistic Isle. I finished the card off by gluing the card stock panel on to a gold foil mat.

I hope you will join us by linking up your card on BYSHC Blog. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful creations. Don’t forget to check the sales with our sponsors.

BYSHC #18 ~ Santa Paws

Hello crafty friends! I’m back with my second card for BYSHC #18 Sketch. Join us on BYSHC Facebook for a chance to win some crafting goodies.

I started by stamping the puppy and masking it, so I can stamp the tree. Next, I made a mask for the tree and “colored” the tree by ink blending. I can never color a tree the way I want it to look, so I decided to ink blend it 😜

I colored the puppy with Copic markers and fussy cut out the image. Next, I die cut out a flag and heat embossed the sentiment. Lastly, I glued everything down and added foam squares behind my image.

  • Supplies:
    • Stamp: MFT Happy Pawlidays
    • Die: GKD Master Layout 5
    • Paper: Recollections Christmas Pets, Spellbinders Christmas Traditions, GKD Masking Paper

I ink blended with Gina K Designs Blue Denim, Coral Reef, Sweet Mango, and Wild Dandelion for the background and die cut it with Waffle Flower Lacy Ovals Die. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Brushed Sentiments.

Forever Beautiful

Simple cards using some new stamps from Unity Stamp Co. For the first card, I used Gingko Greetings by Sandhya Iyer. I heat embossed the stamp with Altenew Copper Embossing Powder, and diecut the patterned paper with My Favorite Things Wonky Stitch Rectangles. I filled in the gingko with some red watercolor to cover up the background. I diecut the Hello sentiment from Cricut and assembled the card together.

For my second card, I used You are forever beautiful by Angie Blom.
