BYSHC Christmas in July 2022 ~ Missing you

Welcome back! It’s the second day of our BYSHC Christmas in July 2022 Linky Hop. I used non-traditional colors for my simple, heart filled Christmas card. The colors were inspired by MFT’s Color Challenge #193.

I started by die cutting the tree with Simon Says Stamp Outline Heart of Christmas Die. It has two pieces, so I cut out both the outline of the whole tree and the outline of the hearts. I cut out an extra outline of the hearts so I can ink blend the hearts in with some post-its and Gina K Designs Ink Sea Glass, Turqoise Sea, Coral Reef, and Kraft. Then, I glued the outline of hearts over the tree.

I die cut out a hill with Honey Bee Stamps Hill Borders Die and stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Heart of Christmas Stamp Set. I cut out 2.75″ by 5.75″ white cardstock and ink blended from top to bottom GKD Turquoise Sea, Sea Glass, and Coral Reef. I sprinkled some Iuile Stardust watercolor over the cardstock and glued on the hill and then the tree. I attached everything to a black mat and then to a mini slimline card.

Super happy you dropped by. Don’t forget to join us at BYSHC Blog for a chance to win a prize by linking up a Christmas/winter/holiday card. Have you a wonderful crafty weekend!

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 5

We are half way through our Spring into Christmas Linky Party! You have until April 29th to join us by linking your winter creation on BYSHC Blog. Check the blog for all the beautiful inspirations being shared and the lovely sales some of our sponsors are having.

I’m sharing a mostly die cut card. I started off using our sponsor Gina K Designs Master Layout 7 to die cut the base layer and mat layer. The base layer is from Echo Park Christmas Magic paper pad. Then I used Spellbinders Christmas Ornament Border to die cut out my ornaments with a red glitter paper and a green foil paper. I stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs Peace Love and Joy Stamp Set with her amalgam ink. Lastly, I put everything together on a white mini slimline card.

I hope this has inspired you to join is. Thank you for stopping by.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of Spring into Christmas! I’m sharing a couple of cards created with our sponsor Gina K Designs’ Stellar Snowflake stencil. This was absolutely beautiful that I couldn’t stop at one card 😝. For the first card, I ink blended with Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Lovely Lavender, and Lucky Clover. Then, I added a thin layer of Gina K Designs’ White Glitz Glitter Gel over the ink. I stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs Deck the Halls Mini with the Sea Glass. I used Gina K Designs’ Ocean Mist Cardstock for a mat for the card. They were die cut with Gina K Design’s Master Layout 1.

Another view of all that pretty glitter.

For my second card, I decided to ink blend the snowflake a rainbow color. I used Gina K Designs Red Hot, Tangerine Twist, Wild Dandelion, Lucky Clover, Blue Raspberry, and Wild Lilac. This time I added a thicker layer of the glitz gel, so the colors ended up being a bit more muted. I used Gina K Designs’ Peace die and Holiday Greetings sentiment sheets for the sentiment.

For the third card, I ink blended with Gina K Designs Sandy Beach, Lovely Lavender, and Soft Stone from the middle outward. I decided to use Inkon 3 Liquid Pixie Dust to add glitter to the card instead of the Glitz Gel. It gives it a more subtle, yet beautiful glitter and doesn’t add much weight to the card. I used Gina K Designs’ Peace Love and Joy for the sentiment.

I tried really hard to get all that glitter by taking the picture at an angle, but only some of that glitter came through. Just have to take my word for it that it’s SUPER glittery.

Which card did you like the most? My favorite is the first one because I love the colors the most. Join us at BYSHC Blog for more inspirations and a chance to win some prizes. You have until April 29th link up your card. Drop by tomorrow to see a super simple, adorable Christmas card.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 1

Hi friends!! Who’s excited for the first day of BYSHC Spring into Christmas 2022 Linky Party? Join us by creating a Christmas, Hanukkah, or winter card and link it up on BYSHC Blog. We have some awesome sponsors with wonderful prizes this Spring. Check the blog for more inspirations and details.

For my first card, I used products from two of our wonderful sponsors. My background was created with Gina K Designs Blue Raspberry, Blue Lagoon, and Passionate Pink ink. I inked my cubes on acetate, sprayed some water on the acetate, and smooshed the ink onto watercolor paper. After it dried, I heat embossed the snowflakes from Unity Stamp Advent Calendar 2021 with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Altenew Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder. I die cut out the background and purple mat with Gina K Designs Master Layouts 1 Die Set.

I stamped the Unity Stamp Mug from the Advent Calender 2021, colored the mug with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac ink, and fussy cut it out. I actually added some Inkon 3 Liquid Pixie Dust on the mug, but it wouldn’t show through the photo. It is very glittery in person✨. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Sunny Studio Merry Mice with Gina K Designs Wild Lilac Ink to match the mug color.

The Linky Party will last from April 22nd – 29th. Don’t forget to link up a card for a chance to win a prize. I can’t wait to see what you create! Come back tomorrow for another holiday card!

Aging Graze-fully

Happy Wednesday! I’m sharing a simple, masculine, birthday card! I personally think masculine cards are hard to make, but this was so simple and fast to create. I stamped the image and added distress ink around the buffalo. I die cut out a brown cardstock, patterned paper, and the white cardstock with the buffalo on it. I attached everything together and added the sentiment and embellishments. Lastly, I made a matching envelope by stamping the buffalo on the envelope.

  • Supplies:
    • Stamp: Unity Stamp Aging Graze-Fully
    • Die: Pink & Main Rectangles Set
    • Ink: Gina K Designs Dark Chocolate Ink, Distress Ink Vintage Photo
    • Other: Jen Hadfield Puffy Dots, My Mind’s Eye Paper Pad

So happy you dropped by. I hope you like this masculine card.

Cover Plate Twofer

Happy Friday! I’m sharing two cards I made with Gina K Designs Snowflake Cover Die Plate. I love how I made two cards easily at the same time by using the die cut as a stencil first, and then using the colored die cut for my second card.

Another view of one of the cards.

Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 7

Happy Thursday! There’s still time to join the BYSHC Christmas in July party! You have until July 30 11:59 PDT to link up a Christmas/holiday/winter card for a chance to win some awesome prizes from some awesome sponsors. Check the BYSHC blog for details.

Now on to the card. I started with stamping, watercoloring, and fussy cutting these images from Mama Elephant’s Mammoth Love Stamp Set. Then I ink blended from Distress Black Soot, GKD In the Navy, GKD Tranquil Tea, and lastly GKD Sea Glass from top to bottom. I cut some hills from Honey Bee Hill Borders die cut and attached them on the bottom of the cardstock. I added some stars and snow with Artistic Isle Silver Nova to give it some shine and heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Pure White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I attached everything together.

I tried to show the shine, but it was really hard to take a picture to show it, but it is lovely in person.

I hope this has inspired you to create something and join our party! Thank you for stopping by!

Butterflies!

Today, I’m playing with Color Hues Color Challenge and A Blog Named Hero’s June Challenge. The two colors for Color Hues are Aqua and Black and A Blog Named Hero’s Challenge is Monochrome.

I started ink blending with Gina K Designs Tranquil Teal , Turquoise Sea, and Sea Glass from top to bottom. I used Hero Arts’ Butterfly Confetti Fancy Die to die cut out my background. I thought the butterflies on matte, black cardstock was boring, so I added some shimmer with Ink on 3 Liquid Pixie Dust.

After my background was done, I stamped the butterfly from Unity Stamp Another Name for Love stamp set with GKD Amalgam Ink and colored it with Copic Markers. I used some White Gelly Roll to give the butterfly some dimensions and fussy cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Playful Pair Stamp set with Hero Arts’ Underwater Embossing Powder.

I loved how this turned out, but I need some more inks to blend with.

Hope you are having an awesome week! Thank you for stopping by!
