BYSHC Spring into Christmas 2023 ~DAY 1

Hi crafty friends! BYSHC’s first linky party for the year is HERE! Who’s excited and ready to create and link up newly designed Christmas, Hanukkah, or winter card! Join us by linking up your card on the BYSHC Blog between April 21 – 28. We have some awesome prizes from our amazing 16 sponsors this spring. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details.

Now onto my first card for the party! It’s a cutie and to help me out, I used BYSHC Sketch #32 for this card. Check out BYSHC Facebook if you need some sketches to start you off, but Sketch #32 is our most current sketch challenge. The sketch challenge will last until the end of April. You can also win a prize from our amazing Crystal, the one who started it all!

I wanted to use this beautiful paper from our wonderful sponsor, Lawn Fawn. It’s the Knit Picky Winter Collection in the color Baby Blanket. It’s super adorable with My Favorite Things’ Merry Christmoose stamp set.

I stamped the moose and Christmas tree on to white cardstock. I colored the moose and Christmas tree with copic markers and added some accents with a white gel pen. I stamped another moose on to the patterned paper. Then, I cut out the sweater and hat from the moose on the patterned paper and glued those pieces on my colored moose. I die cut out the moose and Christmas tree.

On a piece of scrap white cardstock, I ink blended a night sky using our lovely sponsor, Gina K Designs. From top to bottom, I used In the Navy, Blue Denim, and Blue Raspberry. I splashed some white paint on top for stars. Then, I used another one of our fantastic sponsor’s dies. I used Pink & Main Layered Circle Dies to die cut out my night sky.

I cut out a black strip of cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment using Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Fine Detail White Embossing Powder. Lastly, I assembled all the pieces together and glued everything down.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you join us in both the linky party and the sketch challenge. Even if you can’t join, check out the Blog and Facebook to see all the beautiful creations.

Be Lucky!

Hi crafty friends! Who’s getting ready for St. Patrick’s Day? I went green for this slimeline card. I stamped a shamrock background from Simon Says Stamp with Gina K Designs Jelly Bean Green Ink. I die cut out the background to give it some wonky stitches. I glued it over a green cardstock mat.

I stamped, copic colored, and fussy cut out images from Clearly Besotted Be Lucky Stamp Set. I stamped extra leaf clovers because I wanted to have clovers falling down from the rainbow. I also glued a clover on the rabbit as a bow, which I thought was adorable.

Because you need some gold during St. Patrick’s Day, I heat embossed some gold embossing powder on some scrap white cardstock. Then, I die cut out the letters and glued everything together.

Have a wonderful week. Inky Hugs!

BYSHC Sketch Challenge #28

Happy November! Before I get to our new sketch challenge, don’t forget to check out BYSHC Blog for BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Winners Post afterwards and Good Luck!

BYSHC has a new sketch and Christmas is almost here so it’s time to build your stash of holiday cards if you haven’t already. A sketch is always a easy and fast way to get you started. Join us at BYSHC Facebook for a chance to win some Christmas cardmaking goodies.

For my card today, I stamped, colored, and fussy cut out an image from Pink & Main Mugs and Kisses Stamp Set. This stamp set is just too cute! I combined it with some paper from Recollections Say Freeze Paper Pad and added some vellum paper behind the image to cut down some of that busyness. I die cut the vellum paper with Gina Marie Designs’ Eyelet Elegance Circle Die and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day! I hope you join us and can’t wait to see what you did with the sketch.

BYSHC Falling for the Holidays ~ Smelling like Christmas

Sadly, it’s the last day of BYSHC Falling for the Holidays Linky Party. I hope everyone had a chance to check out BYSHC Blog for some Christmas inspirations and was able to join us.

For the last day, I decided to save the best for last which is a fun shaker card! I love shaker cards, and I used TWO of our wonderful sponsors to complete it. I started by creating the frame with our NEW sponsor Kat Scrappiness A2 Reverse Scallop Die Frame. I stamped, copic colored, and fussy cut out the mice from Gerda Steiner Designs Smell like Christmas Stamp Set and added some ADORABLE gingerbread embellishment from our lovely sponsor Twiddler’s Nook. She has to cutest embellishments ever so go check her out on Etsy.

To make my shaker card sandwich, I started by gluing a white frame over some acetate and then glued 2 more frames underneath that. Next I added foam tape all around the bottom frame. I flipped the sandwich around so the acetate was on the bottom and foam tape were sticking on top. I went a little overboard with my glitter, but I added that and more gingerbread into my shaker card. For my background, I used patterned paper with a bunch of stamped cookies from the same GSD stamp set and attached it to the foam tape to seal off my card.

Besides Falling for the Holidays Linky Party, we still have our monthly Sketch Challenge going on. I’m also sharing my third card for our monthly Sketch Challenge. Check out the other two on my Instagram, but these cards are super easy to make if you have these patterned paper with rectangular images. Just cut them out and glue them together and voila, you have a card.

I hope you enjoyed all the cards I’ve been sharing this week, and thank you for continuously stopping by. Remember you have until 11:59 PST to link up your card, and GOOD LUCK!

BYSHC Spring into Christmas Day 7

One more day left to join us at BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party! All you have to do is link up a Christmas/winter/holiday card on the blog and you get a chance to win an awesome prize from one of our awesome sponsors. You have until tomorrow 11:59 PDT to link up your card.

Our sponsor Not 2 Shabby has this free digital image in her shop so if you like what you see, grab it now. I added this image on Microsoft word and printed it out. I stamped sponsor Unity Stamp Mustache and Ho Ho Ho image from Advent Calendar 2021 into the middle of the cup. I colored the image with Copic markers and used white gel pen to make the mustache white since Santa has a white beard.

I used Sponsor Gina K Designs Master Layouts 5 stitched rectangle to die cut 6 pieces of white cardstock , cardstock with the image, acetate, and the Recollections Christmas Vellum Paper. For the white cardstocks, I basically cut them all where the stitches are to try to make them as even as possible to make my frame. To make my shaker card I layered two white frames, my frame with the image, acetate, and 4 more white frames from top to bottom. I then poured in my embellishments from Sponsor Twiddler’s Nook and some translucent stars from Recollections. I glued the vellum over a white cardstock and then glued it over the frame. Since I was going to make my shaker card a bit wonky and tilted, I decided to use Whimsy Stamps Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut out my red base layer. I attached everything on to my white card and I was done.

Hopefully this has inspired you join us. Even if you don’t join us, you should still check out the blog and see all the beautiful inspirations. Come back tomorrow for the cards I have for the last day. Thank you for stopping by.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 4

Hi friends! Today I’m sharing an interactive Christmas card inspired by Jennifer Mcguire’s Floating Elements for BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party. The ornament can move from side to side so it seems like the ornament is swinging.

I started off by using Gina K Designs Master Layouts #7 to die cut out the base and mat layers. I used sponsor Gina Marie Designs Grinch Theme Stamp for the hand and colored it with Copic Markers and Tombow ABT Pro alcohol markers. I die cut a small oval underneath the hand I stamped. On a separate cardstock, I die cut out a circle bigger than the oval.

I stamped Simon Says Stamp Winter Seals on a separate white cardstock and fussy cut it out. I stuck foam tape in the center of the circle die cut and layered the circle on the bottom underneath the oval opening. Then I laid the ornament on top of the foam tape over the base layer. Lastly, I stuck foam tape all over the bottom of the base layer and laid it over my mat layer.

Join us and share your creations on the BYSHC Blog for a chance to win some prizes from our generous sponsors. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello friends! I’m joining Color Hues and Mod Squad’s #cardsforukraine challenge to show support for Peace in Ukraine. The challenge involves using Ukraine’s flag colors, BlueandYellow. BYSHC #20 ~Holiday Hogs

Happy Friday, friends! It’s a new month, so there’s a new BYSHC Sketch. I’m sharing this fun, whimsical card with a non-traditional Christmas color, PINK. I’m loving the combo of the pretty paper with the stamp. I colored the image with Copic markers and Tombow ABT Markers and stamped the sentiment with GKD Bubblegum Pink Ink. I didn’t have pink enamel dots, so I just colored white enamel dots with a pink Copic marker.

Another view of the card to see the gold confetti on the paper.

    • Paper: Spellbinders Christmas Traditions Paper Pad

BYSHC #19

Hi friends! I’m sharing my second set of cards for BYSHC #19 Sketch Challenge. I’m loving this sketch because it easy to make twofers. Just get 2 different patterned paper and cut them at the same angle. Then you just match the top of one paper to the bottom of the second paper and Voila. Two cards!

A closer look at my first card using the Holiday Seals from The Stamping Village. I added some of these BEAUTIFUL two-toned pearls on my card and they matched my card perfectly.

My second card where I used SSS Nutty & Bright.

    • Stamps: Simon Says Stamp Nutty & Bright, The Stamping Village Holiday Seals
    • Dies: GKD Master Layout 7
