BYSHC Spring into Christmas Day 7

One more day left to join us at BYSHC Spring into Christmas Linky Party! All you have to do is link up a Christmas/winter/holiday card on the blog and you get a chance to win an awesome prize from one of our awesome sponsors. You have until tomorrow 11:59 PDT to link up your card.

Our sponsor Not 2 Shabby has this free digital image in her shop so if you like what you see, grab it now. I added this image on Microsoft word and printed it out. I stamped sponsor Unity Stamp Mustache and Ho Ho Ho image from Advent Calendar 2021 into the middle of the cup. I colored the image with Copic markers and used white gel pen to make the mustache white since Santa has a white beard.

I used Sponsor Gina K Designs Master Layouts 5 stitched rectangle to die cut 6 pieces of white cardstock , cardstock with the image, acetate, and the Recollections Christmas Vellum Paper. For the white cardstocks, I basically cut them all where the stitches are to try to make them as even as possible to make my frame. To make my shaker card I layered two white frames, my frame with the image, acetate, and 4 more white frames from top to bottom. I then poured in my embellishments from Sponsor Twiddler’s Nook and some translucent stars from Recollections. I glued the vellum over a white cardstock and then glued it over the frame. Since I was going to make my shaker card a bit wonky and tilted, I decided to use Whimsy Stamps Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die Set to cut out my red base layer. I attached everything on to my white card and I was done.

Hopefully this has inspired you join us. Even if you don’t join us, you should still check out the blog and see all the beautiful inspirations. Come back tomorrow for the cards I have for the last day. Thank you for stopping by.

We are half way through our Spring into Christmas Linky Party! You have until April 29th to join us by linking your winter creation on BYSHC Blog. Check the blog for all the beautiful inspirations being shared and the lovely sales some of our sponsors are having.

I’m sharing a mostly die cut card. I started off using our sponsor Gina K Designs Master Layout 7 to die cut the base layer and mat layer. The base layer is from Echo Park Christmas Magic paper pad. Then I used Spellbinders Christmas Ornament Border to die cut out my ornaments with a red glitter paper and a green foil paper. I stamped the sentiment from Gina K Designs Peace Love and Joy Stamp Set with her amalgam ink. Lastly, I put everything together on a white mini slimline card.

I hope this has inspired you to join is. Thank you for stopping by.

BYSHC Spring into Christmas ~ Day 3

It’s day 3 of Spring into Christmas Linky Party! Some of our sponsors are actually having SALES for this event. Check the BYSHC Blog for more details.

Now for this adorable card. The My Favorite Things Paw La La La La Stamp speaks for itself. Too cute, so I made the card super simple. I started off by ink blending with Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, and Blue Denim from the center outwards. Then, I heat embossed the stamp with Gina K Designs Embossing Ink and Ranger Gold embossing powder. Lastly, I added some gold watercolor paint drops from Artistic Isle. I finished the card off by gluing the card stock panel on to a gold foil mat.

I hope you will join us by linking up your card on BYSHC Blog. I can’t wait to see all the beautiful creations. Don’t forget to check the sales with our sponsors.

BYSHC #19

Hi friends! I’m sharing my second set of cards for BYSHC #19 Sketch Challenge. I’m loving this sketch because it easy to make twofers. Just get 2 different patterned paper and cut them at the same angle. Then you just match the top of one paper to the bottom of the second paper and Voila. Two cards!

A closer look at my first card using the Holiday Seals from The Stamping Village. I added some of these BEAUTIFUL two-toned pearls on my card and they matched my card perfectly.

My second card where I used SSS Nutty & Bright.

BYSHC Sketch #11 – Pawsome Christmas

Happy Saturday! I’m sharing my last card for BYSHC Sketch Challenge #11. I colored Bugaboo Stamps Winter Cat and Puppy Dog digial stamp with Copic and Watercolor Markers.

I used Spellbinders Circle Nestabilities to die cut out the image and attached it to a circle mat that was die cut with Gina Marie Design’s Eyelet Elegance Circle Die. I stamped the sentiment from Recollections Christmas Set with GKD White Pigment Ink onto a red cardstock. I attached everything together onto paper from Recollections Christmas Pets Paper Pad.

BYSHC #11

Hello! I’m super EXCITED to announce that I am now on Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers’ design team! My first time on a design team and I can’t wait to see what this has in store for me.

Are you YETI for the new sketch challenge for BYSHC!

I paired the Recollections Red & White Christmas Paper with this adorable Yeti from Oddball Art Co. The sentiment is from Gina Marie Designs Grinch Theme Stamp Set. I just got this set in the mail, and I had to use it, even if it’s just a sentiment. 😉

Come join us at Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers Facebook group. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

Thank you for stopping by!

Let’s Get Together

Ending the Spring Summer Coffee Lovers Hop with this Get Together Card and the Hot Chocolate Card below. I had tons of fun joining in on this hop and it gave me some chance to use some new stamps.

I started ink blending with Gina K Designs Lucky Clover for the grass and Sea Glass for the sky. Next I used GKD Kraft and Dusty Rose for the Cherry Blossom Tree from Altenew. I watercolored the Clearly Besotted Spilling Tea images, fussy cut them out, and attached them to the card. Lastly, I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Spilling Tea.

My Christmas Hot Chocolate Card.

This card was inspired from My Favorite Things Sketch #534. The digital stamp was from Polkadoodles called Bella Bear Hot Chocolate and the paper was from Recollections Red & White Christmas Paper Pad. I colored him with Copic Markers and Tombow ABT Pro Alcohol Markers. I’m starting to get the hang of the alcohol markers and love coloring with them. The only problem is that I have a limited amount of colors.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment! Have a good weekend!

A Sweet Challenge

Today I played with Lawn Fawn’s Tiny Gingerbread Stamp Set for their Sketch Challenge#95. I decided to combine this card with Craftyhazelnut’s Christmas Challenge #530 and Craftyhazelnut’s Patterned Paper February Challenge.

I started with watercoloring the adorable gingerbread and fussy cutting them out. Next, I diecut out three circles from the Foil Print Chiyogami Paper Star that I found from Daiso, and attached acetate behind it. I added foam tape around the circles, added the Recollections star embellishments, and attached paper from Recollections Glisten & Glow Paper Pad. I attached the whole thing to a white card base. My mistake was trying to stamp the sentiment on afterwards. The sentiment is from one of Recollections Christmas stamps. Due to the foam tape not being even all over, it was hard to get a even press with the stamp. I ended up using a sharpie to fix my mistakes.

Lesson learned – Always finish the front of my card prior to adding the foam tape and embellishments.

Thank you for stopping by!
