Sketch #31 – Yappy Christmas

Happy Saturday! I’m sharing my second card for BYSHC Sketch Challenge #31. This is a fun sketch, so I hope you join us on Facebook for a chance to win a prize! Check out the BYSHC Blog for more beautiful inspirations from the Design Team.

For this card, I cut out the patterned paper according to the sketch. Then, I used copic markers to color the puppy, and I fussy cut it out. I heat embossed the sentiment from My Favorite Things with Fun Stampers Journey Black Embossing Powder directly on to the paper pad. I glued everything together and added some beautiful embellishments from Spellbinders.

Thank you for spending some of your time with me! I hope you like the card and will join us on Facebook.

  • Supplies:
    • Stamps: Gerda Steiner Designs Carol Puppies, My Favorite Things Happy Pawlidays
    • Paper: Bo Bunny Joyful Christmas, Recollections Christmas Pets
    • Embellishments: Spellbinders Black Smooth Disc

  1. Jacinda, with a fun Christmas card! Such a great contrast between traditional holiday background papers, and the more modern carol singing dog!! Wonderful job coloring the pup with your Copic markers, and of course that fun punny sentiment. Thank you so much for sharing your card and creative talents with us at Double Trouble!!! -Donna

  2. This is so very cute. I will have to remember this sentiment idea when I send out cards to my friends with dogs. They will get a kick out of receiving a doggy-themed card!

Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
