Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop ~ Day 8

I can’t believe it’s the last day of Christmas in July 2021 BYSHC Hop. The linky will close at June 30 at 11:59 PDT. I hope everyone had fun joining us making Christmas/holiday/winter cards this round and good luck to everyone! For the last day, I have 2 cards to share.

For my first card, I inked up Funky Fossil Designs Leaping Stags Stencil with GKD Warm Cocoa ink and added some Recollections Clear Embossing Powder to heat emboss it. I used Pink and Main Rectangles Die Set to die cut out 7 frames. I used Stazon Jet Black to ink up Unity Stamp Co’s It’s Christmas Oh Deer stamp on top of the acetate. I glued the acetate behind one frame and then glued the rest of the frames behind the acetate. I decided to give dimensions to the frame with extra frames instead of foam tape because the foam tape wasn’t thick enough for the sequins.

I got patterned paper from Recollections Ice Crystals Paper for the background and added some 28 Lilac Lane Deer Sequins. I glued the frames on top of the background paper and attached the whole piece onto my stenciled deer paper.

For my second card, I was inspired by MFT Sketch Challenge. I used Simon Says Stamps Nutty & Bright Stamp Set for the image and sentiment. I kept the white cardstock from my frames from the first card and used it for this card. For the image, I used Copic Markers and Tombow APT Pro Alcohol Markers. I heat embossed the sentiment with Altenew Crisp Pure White Embossing Powder.

Make sure to link up your creations on BYSHC Blog. Thank you for dropping by!
