Hello! I’m super excited to announce that I’ve been invited to be a Guest Designer for the month of May at Just Us Girls. So excited, that I made 2 cards this week for this challenge. This week is Word Week and the word is Float.

For my first card, my inspiration was from floating through the sky and being carefree. I cut this double-sided patterned paper from lawn fawn that I thought perfectly matched my stamped image. Next, I added My Favorite Things Stitched Ric Rac over the cut. I colored the image from Hero Arts Make a Wish Stamp Set with Copic markers and stamped some dandelions in the background with InkOn3 Fadeout Ink. I added a rhinestone into the middle of the dandelion to give it some sparkle for a birthday card. Lastly, I added a sentiment from the same stamp set on top.

My first response when I saw the word Float was floating on water, so I thought this digital image from Bugaboo Stamps was very fitting. I wanted to make a CAS card, so I kept this card simple. I decided to attach the image onto a water like patterned paper and add a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Make a Splash Stamp Set.

Welcome, Jacinda! What a fabulous start as our Guest Designer with not one, but 2 awesome cards! I love your little mouse floating with that dandelion and that little critter in his float with his beverage is adorable. Great coloring on both of your cards.

Welcome, Jacinda! I just love both of your cards as they have two different interpretations. I can just picture that mouse cascading down from the sky almost as it’s his form of transportation and that cute little floating puppy is just as darling as can be. Great job with word week!

Cute as Jacinda. Love both your takes on our ‘float’ challenge. I think the second one is my favourite mainly because of that cute image.
