Hello!

I just wanted to try to ink blend on 110 lb cardstock to see if it would blend better, so I decided to just blend with my ocean colors. I used Gina K Designs Sea Glass, Turquoise Sea, Tranquil Teal, and Blue Denim to blend from top to bottom. I still feel like the blending isn’t as smooth as I want, so maybe I need to try Gina K’s paper.

Just us Girls is back with Work Week “HELLO” , so I decided to combine my background card with a dolphin from Clearly Besotted Make a Splash Stamp Set. I wanted the dolphin to “pop” out from the card, so it would be like it’s popping out to say hello. Before I attached the dolphin with a foam square, I used Pickett Fence Studio Current of Fish Stencil to add some fish in the background. I felt the dolphin was too lonely, so had to add some friends in the back. Lastly, I heat embossed a hello sentiment from Craftin Desert Divas Balloon Parade Stamp Set. I heat embossed the hello because I wanted it to stand out a bit more compared to the black fishes.

  1. You have truly inspired me with this card! I have a stencil just like this one you have used here, although I think it’s from a different company. Also, I think your blending looks just great. I especially love the fact that the dolphin is swimming at us. Great, great job! Thanks for playing along with us at Just Us Girls.
