Peaceful Night

Since I’ve been coloring for 11 days straight, I decided to make a card that doesn’t require any coloring. First, I used my Cricut to cut out a stag outline and a circle, and then I used some scrap paper to cut out some hills for masking.

I started by putting the hill on the bottom, and used GKD Lovely Lavender to ink blend. Then I move it higher to do the second and third hill. Next, I placed the circle, stag, and hill in the center to mask the white space. I started ink blending with GKD Lovely Lavender, Distress Ink Seedless Preserves, and lastly GKD Plum Punch. I needed the Distress Ink to blend between the light and dark purple. Once the ink blending was done, I used some white paint to splashed it on the background to make it look like snow. I removed the masking scraps, and put the stag outline in the middle of the moon, and used GKD Soft Stone to stamp in the stag.

This one is actually my first attempt, but I didn’t mask the moon properly when I was stamping in the stag outline. I accidentally got some grey on the top and left side of the moon. I tried fixing it with some white paint and grey trees. It didn’t really seem to work, so I just made another one. 😝

  3. This is such a beautiful card – a real standout in the CAS Colours & Sketches gallery. So much depth and dimension for a one layer card and such a beautiful use of the colours. I had to pop by and let you know just how much I love it!
