Splashy Celebration

In celebration of Day 11 of the Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge, I decided to make a shaker card with Clearly Besotted Make a Splash Stamp and GKD Inks. It’s the last day of the challenge!! It was quite hard to color and make a card for 11 days straight.

First, I stamped the dolphins with GKD Amalgam ink onto watercolor paper using MISTI, and then colored with Artistrove watercolor. I fussy cut out the dolphins, and die cut out the frame with Whimsy Stamps Slimline Card Builder Die. Next, I started to ink blend the frame with GKD Dusty Rose, Lovely Lavender, and Sea Glass. I added some adhesive on the frame and adhered it to clear acetate sheets. I cut out another white cardstock that is the same size as the frame and inked Distress Ink Salty Ocean over an wave stencil.

I attached the dolphins onto the frames + acetate sheet, and stamped sentiments on the frame.

Once I was done with all the colors and inks, it was time to assemble the shaker card. I added foam tape around the windows on the back of the acetate, and poured in my sequins and glitter. Make sure the foam tape is completely sealed around the windows, so that no glitter can come out. Next, I put my wave stenciled white cardstock over the foam tape and attached everything to the card.

  1. I am glad that you decided to make this card and enter it in the Challenge at Seize the Birthday. It has sparkle and shine and it is a great way to end the 30-day coloring challenge and our last challenge of the year 2020. Hope to see you again next year with more delightful creations.
